At the prestigious Galway County Heritage Awards in September 2006, our school won the highly coveted Special Commendation Award for our film documentary on Woodlawn House.For a small school, this was an amazing achievement and was a credit to the excellent library reserach and field work undertaken byu the pupils and teachers.
The project was part of the 'Fionn' Primary School programme coordinated by Brendan Smith on behalf of the Galway Science & Tecnology Festival Board and the Galway Education Centre
The video is available on a number of important science and educational websites. We also hope to have it accessible via our website very soon.
