In June 2005, Woodlawn National School was awarded the 'Green Flag' by Galway County Council and An Taisce in recognition of our successful efforts in implementing a pro-recycling waste management system.The official unveiling of the Green Flag was carried out by former pupil and mayor of Galway County Council, Councillor Michael Mullin assisted by the deputy county Environmental Officer.
